LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A Gwinnett County jury has convicted a 27-year-old man charged in the 1999 deaths of a woman and her young daughter. The jury returned the guilty verdict Friday morning against Wesley Harris in the deaths of 22-year-old Whitney Land and her two-year-old daughter. The jury found Harris guilty on all counts. District Attorney Danny Porter says Harris abducted the two from Panhandle Park in Clayton County and then drove the Lands' car to Gwinnett County -- where he shot them, put their bodies in the trunk and burned the car.
