Tiffany Nicole Long

Ten year old Tiffany Nicole Long's body was found on October 17,1998. She had been murdered the day before. (Oct. 16, 1998)

Three black teenagers were charged with Tiffany's murder. They are Dorthia Bynum, 17, and Harold Jones, 16 and Joseph Jones 13 at the time. They were charged with luring the young girl into a vacant house, sodomizing her and then strangling her with a cable wire and then beating her to death with a board.

Dorthia Bynum told the police that she sat back and watched as the two Jones boys sexually assaulted Tiffany. One of the Jones boys choked Tiffany with a cable wire while the other raped her.

Joseph Jones had admitted to the sexual assault (rape) but that someone else named "Fatboy" had killed Tiffany.

Tiffany was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. on the 16th. When she failed to return home, her parents called police at about 8:20 p.m. that night.

Tiffany's body was found at a house around the corner from her home. The same house that the Jones boys had lived in just three weeks before Tiffany's murdered body was found there.

Tiffany's body was found in a pool of her own blood in the back yard of the house. Police had to break into the house since the doors and windows were all locked. Once inside they found blood all over the house. Police investigators determined that Tiffany had been raped and murdered in the bedroom of the house since that is where most of the blood had been found.

After being raped and murdered, Tiffany's lifeless body was dragged outside and hidden behind a garage and covered over with an afghan to hide it.

Police found the body at approximately 4:55 a.m. on October 17th.

Witnesses told police that the Jones boys had been seen around Tiffany's house and that they saw a boy with a green mountain bike with Tiffany heading into the backyard of the house where her body was found.

When police used a search warrant on the Joneses new residence, they found a .22 rifle barrel and stock, two love letters and the green bike that witnesses had identified.

After Tiffany had been raped and murdered and her body discovered, Joseph Jones told family members that he had heard the little Tiffany had been "choked with a cable wire", a detail the police had never released.

Harold Wesley Jones, 16, and Dorthia D. Bynum, 17, and a 13-year-old boy (Joseph Jones) each were charged with first-degree murder, sexual assault and kidnapping.

Relatives had claimed that the two teens (Harold Jones and Dorthia Bynum) were mildly retarded and incapable of killing little Tiffany.

``He cannot comprehend,'' sister and guardian Al-Neisa Jones, 23, said of Jones. ``He knows that killing is wrong. But that boy can't kill a bug.''

Claims of  intimidation were leveled at police after Harold Jones and Dorthia Bynum went to the police station for an interview. Both had gone to the police under their own free will.

Bynum's mother contented that her daughter ``has always been slow ... a little mental'' but didn't pose a threat to anyone.

As usual, the race card was played and the prosecutor had to dismiss ideas of racism because the victim was White and the perpetrators were black.

The murder weapon was found and police discounted the idea that it was a nail studded 2x4.

The Jones family was, of course, playing the race card, which also comes with a poor pass, and claimed that "It's just depressing. We don't have top-of-the-line lawyers, top-of-the-line funds, to prove these three children are innocent" (Children my butt!)

Tiffany's grandmother made a statement at the police station.

``Tiffany was a very happy child who loved people and loved life,'' she said. ``I want everyone listening and watching to know that we loved Tiffany very much and miss Tiffany very much.

Joseph Jones was sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years for the crime. Joseph had this to say before being sentenced: "I pray to the Almighty. I stand before you expressing my sorrow, my sympathy."

Notice how he never admitted guilt.

Dorthia Bynum was sentenced to at least 124 years in prison as part of an agreement with prosecutors in which she pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, rape, kidnapping and first-degree sex offense.

Harold Jones was sentenced to Life plus 25-30 years for the rape and murder of little Tiffany.

Jake Robel

Jake Robel
Nov. 28, 1993 ~ February 22, 2000
Independence, Missouri

On February 22, 2000 Christy Robel and her 6 year old son Jake got into the family's Chevy Blazer. When Christy stopped to pick up some fast food at a restaurant in Independence little did she know that an ex-con with several warrants out for him, Kim L. Davis, was also in the area.

Davis, hijacked the Robel's Blazer. He attempted to throw Jake from the backseat but Jake became entangled in the seatbelt, trapped by the door and was dragged to his death as bystanders sped after the vehicle.

Three of the pursuing vehicles managed to get the Blazer stopped and as Kim jumped out and looked at Jake his words were "I didn't do that!". At that point Kim decided to make a run for it.

The drivers managed to grab Kim and wrestle him to the ground and tying his legs together, were able to hold him until police arrived.

The only touching part of this story is that an 11 year old boy who had been in one of the vehicles that gave chase to Kim, took a blanket and placed it over Jake's body, covering him up. His clothes had torn almost completely off.

Kim Davis was eventually sentenced to Life in prison without the chance of parole. He deserved the Death Penalty.

Kim Davis' family put on a show and cried and hugged in the courtroom when it was announced that Davis' life would be spared.

His defense attorneys (Chris Slusher and Bill Shull) said that the family was relieved and grateful for the juries decision. Shull even went on to insult justice by saying "It is just a tremendous relief. Justice was done and mercy was done,"

This, even after the jury had seen pictures of the lifeless and broken boy that use to be Jake.

Murderer:

Kevin Shifflett

Eight year old Kevin Shifflett was playing in his grandmothers front yard on April 20, 2000.

That same afternoon Gregory Murphy was looking for someone White to kill.

Sadly, on that afternoon the two were going to meet.

Murphy, age, walked up to Kevin and said "I hate White people!" and slit Kevin's throat.

Kevin's grandmother came out and tried to stop the attack. Her hands were cut but she was unable to stop this madman from killing her grandson. Another woman who came to their aid was also stabbed.

The police offered a $10,000 reward for information on Kevin's killer.

Flowers and children's gifts piled up at a makeshift memorial. But still no traces of the murderer, still unknown at that time. The police checked and rechecked surveillance videos from the neighborhood and passed out fliers, hoping for tips to catch a killer.

The Mainstream media all but ignored Kevin's murder. The typical response when dealing with black-on-White crimes. Despite this being a clear cut racist hate crime case with a black man allegedly screaming anti-white epithets. No word was mentioned about race or Hate Crimes.

When police finally captured Murphy a search of his prior hotel room turned up a note saying "kill them racist White kids!" in his native tongue of ebonics. Police were also able to collect DNA from a taxi cab that Murphy has used to flee the murder scene.

Sadly this could all have been prevented since Murphy had been arrested previously for an attack on a White man with a hammer.

Had Murphy been locked away for the rest of his life for his first assault, little Kevin Shifflett would still have been alive.

Murderer:

Kayla Renee Rolland

Kayla Renee Rolland
May 12, 1993 ~ February 29, 2000

The shooting of Kayla Rolland occurred at Buell Elementary School in Mount Morris Township, Michigan, United States on February 29, 2000. Six-year-old Dedrick Owens fatally shot classmate Kayla Renee Rolland (May 12, 1993 – February 29, 2000) in a classroom before being taken into police custody. Buell Elementary School closed in 2002. It was part of the Beecher Community School District.

The incident began when 6-year-old Dedrick Owens found a .32-caliber handgun in his uncle's home and brought the firearm to Buell Elementary School. Further in the day, during a changing of classes, Owens fatally shot 6-year-old Kayla Rolland in the presence of a teacher and 22 students, saying to her "I don't like you" before pulling the trigger. The bullets entered her right arm and traveled through her vital organs. At 10:59 a.m. EST, Rolland was pronounced dead at Hurley Medical Center while in cardiac arrest.

Owens then threw the handgun into a wastebasket and fled to a nearby restroom. He was found there, in the corner, by a teacher and was taken into police custody soon after. He was held in custody until the Genesee County Family Independence Agency could determine his placement. He and his two younger siblings have since been placed with an aunt.

At six years of age, Kayla Rolland is believed to be the youngest school shooting victim in U.S. history. Dedrick Owens is the youngest school shooter. Due to Owens' age and lack of ability to form intent, Owens was never charged for the murder. In most U.S. states, six-year-olds are not liable for crimes they commit. In an 1893 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court declared that "children under the age of 7 years could not be guilty of felony, or punished for any capital offense, for within that age the child is conclusively presumed incapable of committing a crime." This is followed in many U.S. states.

Jamelle James, who owned the .32-caliber semiautomatic pistol, eventually pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter and spent 2 years and 5 months in prison before eventually being released and living on probation. The other adults involved would be in and out of court systems in the years to follow. Two years later, Buell Elementary School was closed, and was demolished in January 2009.

The incident was documented in the 2002 Michael Moore film Bowling for Columbine.
